Israel came to our home in a box. My grandkids can’t go to Israel now, but they had fun unboxing a gift package from the Israeli company Artza. Artza started as a dream in March 2020. With the borders to the Holy Land closed during COVID, this Israeli start up wanted to create an easy way for people like you to experience the land where Jesus walked - all while supporting the people and small businesses of Israel, one subscription box at a time.

When the war broke out for the first four days, I lay on my couch in emotional pain. I kept thinking, what would my Jewish ancestors have done? I thought they would get on a plane and go to Israel. So I booked a ticket and went.

I didn’t have money left for a third ticket to Israel. But I heard myself say, “Sure, I’ll take you to Israel.” I can’t remember where the money came from, but I’ll never forget that trip.
